The Japanese Archipelago Sector is a sector located in East Asia. It is located to the east of the mainland and comprises of the entirety of the Japanese archipelago, including all territories formerly controlled by the now-defunct nation of Japan. The sector capital is Kyoto, and it has a population of 124 million. The local UN armed force is the Japanese Strategic Self-Defence Force, one of the most powerful amongst the UN Peacekeeping Forces.

The Japanese Archipelago Sector is the seat of power of Takaoka Heavy Industries, which has effectively bought control of the sector from the United Nations, directly governing and policing the sector with their subsidiary private military corporations.
